Hyperbaric oxygen therapy involves breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is a well-established treatment for decompression sickness (diving injury). High quality evidence now supports other uses:
The larger entrance to our Multi-Person Hyperbaric Chamber permits ease of access for multiple patients and/or stretchers for non-ambulatory individuals. It has comfortable seats on the right, stretchers on the left, and an aisle to walk down in between. Capable staff accompany patients for each treatment - to assist with all personal and medical needs. At the far end there is also a door to another room which can change pressure to permit occupants to come and go as needed.
In our multi-person hyperbaric oxygen therapy chamber, air pressure is increased many times higher than normal air pressure. Under these conditions much more oxygen is breathed into the lungs where it passes into the bloodstream and then to the tissues. The high dose oxygen delivery to the body's repair cells as well as damaged tissues can stimulate repair and recovery.
